I was really lucky surprising Eric loved to entertain himself and spent hours and hours on the floor exploring his feet and toys over his head. He also loved the springy seat that we mounted in the entry area to the kitchen so I could see him all the time and he had a great time too.

Guess what everybody....
I GOT MY LICENSE!! Woo-hooooo! I aced maneuverability... Didn't get any points off a single thing! I haven't really gotten a chance to drive much... But I don't want to rush it. I will hopefully be able to drive my car tommarrow though... May have to take it for a spin!

It was supposed to be freaky... Lol.
And I'm not the cocky sort of person. I was just simply pointing out the fact that I got everything marked off I could the first test, and with practice... I aced it!
I don't want to rush into driving too fast... I just want to take my time with it. Today I delivered my newspapers, and with a couple days of doing that I may feel more confident to go to "town" to rent a movie or something. (I live in a small town with nothing so in order to do something you have to drive 10 miles to the nearest town.)

Congratulations, Devin!!!! I'm happy for you! Will you eventually be driving yourself to school every day, too?

Well... I would. But from the school to the student parking lot it's farther to walk than to my house and the school! Maybe I will drive to school one day as a joke though...

Devin! Glad to read that happy news! Yay for you! I knew you'd do it! Drive safely Hey, I'm home, did anyone miss me? I got in yesterday from Tronto at 11 am. Had a fantastic week, will share more details later. I also started a photobucket account finally, so I can get some pictures shown. How excited is everyone about that? Best part of the trip? Kevin Hearn told me I was a naughty girl (insert geeky school girl giggle here). Anyway, hope you all had a great week, and have an ever better week ahead of you. I'll have to get caught up on the boards later. For now, I have to go to my job to pay for my travels. Damnit. Have a good day all!

Tis Monday again. I'm off today. I could get used to this. I was off for a week, came back, worked 4 days, went to the conference, and then had a couple of more days off. I like not working alot. Never used to. I hope everyone had a great weekend. I missed not seeing Mr. Hear this weekend! Ha! So the Coles notes version of last weekend is I took a train from Kingston to Toronto. Met up with gals I met online a few years back, including Whitcrow from this board. I think BNLater met her briefly. We stayed in a lovely Bed and Breakfast owned by an actress and her artist husband. This woman, Katya, had photo albums of her in costume, and posing with people like Burt Reynolds and Jack Lemmon. It was a really cool place and cheaper than a hotel would have been. We saw Thin Buckle at The Drake on the Thursday night. We went early and listened to soundcheck from a stair balcony. After soundcheck, two Thin Buckle guys came upstairs and recognized us and sat and chatted with us for a bit. Then Kevin came upstairs and said, hey Jazz Odyssey is in the house (our little fan club name, hee hee). So it caught us all off guard, everyone went quiet, then me, being the total geek I am, blurted out, hey, soundcheck sounded good! Then someone said, yeah we listened from upstairs here hanging over the railing, and Kevin said, oh, you naughty girls. Then we giggled like little school girls. So we saw 2 guys called The Rumoli Bros, and they were hilarious. They had a slide show featuring all the side bands Kevin had been in before with photoshopped pictures. Bands like 'Hearn and Oates', 'Earth, Wind and Hearn', 'Kevin Hearn and the News', amoung others, it was hilarious. After that a woman named Patricia O'Callahan opened with a beautiful set. She's a classically trained artist, she sings in several languages, she was amazing. Bought her CD after the show. Then Thin Buckle played and it was great. They played a full on concert set for almost 2 hours. Fantastic. Then after the show we stayed and drank and Kevin mingled with everyone, came over and had a beer with us, it was so much fun. Friday we drove to London. Brutal drive. Accidents, construction, backed up traffic. But we got there. It was in a not so nice part of town. Very small audience, a more mellow laid back set list, but they played a long show again, so it was great. Plus they played my request. Kevin asked us Thursday if we had requests, and he remembered me hounding him on the cruise for a particular song, so I got it. A guy from Thin Buckle, Brian Macmillian, opened the show and was great. I highly recommend you guys take in one of his sets on the cruise, he's fantastic. And he gave a shout out to Jazz Odyssey during his set which was fun. Until he asked us to sing with him, then it got weird But it was a great show. Afterwards we chatted up the band again. Met Ethan (the Harry Rosen guy) from bn.net, very nice guy. I recognized him right away, and we introduced ourselves after the show. We got high fives from Kevin after I said I'd be on the cruise. It was alot of fun, I have some pictures to show when I get them uploaded into photobucket. I also have some more stories to tell you on the cruise, not appropriate to post on the board, very funny stuff (IMO). Well, sorry I ate up the Monday thread, but I was feeling nostalgic and wanting to share my good time last week. I love that damn Thin Buckle band. Ok, as you were, happy Monday everyone!

That is quite a story, Jess. I'm really glad that you had such a good time though and can't wait to hear the "board inappropriate" stories!

What better use of a Monday thread than hearing about Jessica and Kevin?
