I admire you building from the ground up. I wouldn't mind picking the colors and the floor plans and things. Mr. and I are enough alike that it wouldn't be a problem.
I wouldn't mind planning a new yard, but I wouldn't want to be out there doing all the work. That being said, our yard is soooo much work. We have a multi level deck that's about 500 sq ft. There are islands all over the place and our sprinkler system is a big piece of hud. We have 6 apple trees, two pear trees, four cherry trees, two plum trees, two apricot trees, raspberry canes, a large garden, a fountain, a bird bath, seven seed bird feeders, three nectar feeders in the summer. We did have a gold fish pond, but we took it out... it was too much work. LOL
I would redo it a bit so it is more "user friendly" and not so much maintenance. It drives my daughter crazy when we leave for cruises or concerts. The animals inside are easy, the stuff she has to do outside is time intensive.
Okay, I take it back. I envy your "clean slate." Very exciting, Congrats!

Thanks surprising. We will have a full half acre, so it will have maintenance needs, but we will have a completely clean slate in the back, where we plan on putting in a large vegetable garden, which will be nice. Currently we have citrus trees which will be going with us since they are in large pots.
Jessica, yes the thought of the actual move makes me naseous. I will miss parts of this house, as I designed the master suite from the ground up. But we will do what we can to make the new one as great as this one. It may take some time, but it will get there.

I wish we could do citrus. It's nice they are in pots and can go with you. That is one of the things about new houses, usually no trees. It sounds fab. We have 1/2 acre, but the people that owned the house before we did were not the brightest candles on the cake. Congrats! What an exciting year, new houses, new babies, new cruises...

We got to see the new baby on the ultrasound last week. IT'S A BOY!!! (and may I just say that ultrasounds have improved vastly in the last 20+ years. Wow!) We are sooo stoked. That is what the kids wanted and Miranda is going to have her tubes tied after the delivery so we were really hoping for a boy. She is done. The factory will be closed after this. He is a little cutie. I think they are going to name him Vincent Scott. (daddy is Italian) Now we just have to wait until July to meet him. ;D It was super neat. We are all stoked.

Very cool surprising. Vincent huh? I like the name, but always wonder with name that sound so adult what people with do with it when he is little. Can you tell I put alot of thought into naming my son? Hence his name is Eric!

Jessica, I am so sorry about your brother. That's awful.
If anyone wants a gmail account just send me a PM or email.
I don't know if I will ever completely fill it and I save a LOT of stuff. It also has the best spam filter going.

I'll respond to Jessica's nice Sunday post in the Monday thread, just 'cause....glad you're back from the convention in one piece, Jess, and sounds like you had a great time. You serious about maybe moving to the big city?
My weekend was a mixed bag - Bridget had her middle school musical (A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum) which was awesome; her dad came up from Connecticut (with girlfriend) to see it too, which was nice for B, and he announced to me that he will be be getting remarried in early September, which was a bit surrealistic.
He didn't mention it to Bridget because, as he said, "Well, she was about to go to a cast party; I didn't want her to have to think about that." ...proving that people can apparantly learn new behaviors towards their offspring, lol. It probably helped that Bridget's therapist was at the performance too and Kent said Dr. D reminded him that it was important that when he did tell her he did it in person, and not by email or over the phone. Perhaps that got the "oh wait, let me think how my actions will make my daughter feel!" neurons firing...

Oh happy happy Monday everyone. I slept like crap last night, yet couldn't sleep in this morning. Alot on my mind right now, kept me awake. Even with the time change. I have so much to do today on my last day off.
Had a great weekend binskki. I'm seriously 'thinking' about moving to Vancouver right now. It's always been in the back of my mind, but things going on around me have made me consider the move even more. I'm not sure, but at least I know the employment situation for me there is amazing should I decide to go.
So did Bridget have a big part in the musical? Dad getting remarried huh? Been there, done that. At least he plays a part in her life (I haven't seen/heard from my father in over 8 years now).
Wow, I'm all over the place this morning. Well, it's a lovely looking sunny day here, snow is all melted. Time to get out and take some of it in! I have a busy week ahead of me!

It's a warm day here, pretty cloudy though. We had out reading OGT today, after reading some of the questions I thought it was all a prank. I'd figured they'd come out and say, "Allright, this is the fake OGT, here are your real ones!"
