I think it's a great idea, but I won't be participating. Sorry! I have VERY difficult veins to find and absolutely DREAD getting any bloodwork done or an IV started when it is absolutely necessary. An extracurricular needling search for a vein is not something I can bring myself to do.

Yay surprising! Way to go! I have the same problem as you with the iron. Sometimes it's borderline, sometimes it's too low. I've ben turned away a few times now.
I know how you feel no nick, I'm the exact sameway. It doesn't help that my blood pressure is so low it takes forever to get my bag filled. I'm squirming in my seat the whole time. But I think of Jonah. I never thought I'd be able to do it, but I've been a regular donor for 2 years now. I still get butterflies when they call me the day before to remind me of my appointment, and I'm nervous all day!
I wish I could log in.

Yesterday was actually one of the first times I had problems. It wasn't anything major and the woman couldn't have apologized more, but I just remind myself that it will be over soon. I have two really great veins. They are evidently huge as far as veins go. Evidently it is a full body condition. LOL
It was an impulse, but my chores led me over to that part of town so I thought why not. I am glad you said something. It was worth doing. (It did make babysitting my almost three year old niece and one year old nephew fun to watch last night! Talk about energy, they are exhausting!)

Welcome to almost Friday, and for those of us in the US, a lead in to a three day weekend!!! So anyone have fun plans? The entertainment part of our weekend is seeing Mama Mia. It is a great fun light show, and should be a great distraction from the fun to follow.

Had a shyt thursday...it started with a 4 hr sleep spent half the night coughing my lungs up, then tried to get some sleep after the kids went to school, got woken up by the plumber then I was awake and then begrudgingly dragged myself of to work spent 2 hrs before bursting into tears in the bathroom and was sent home and I am allowed back as long as I saw the doctor and the psychologist in regards to emotional and mental state - which I will do tomorrow and I now have 3 days off work and lose 3 days pay as well. On the flipside I can do some housework since the rain has stopped - yay!!!!

It. Is. Not. Thursday.
Yesterday was Thursday. Today is Friday. Not sure what screwed up my internal timer, but it has been a mess the past two days. Perhaps wishful thinking...

Jessica sounds like a wonderful weekend there. We are seeing Chicago with George Hamilton as Billy Flynn on Saturday...the rest of the weekend...Saturday unpacking and doing stuff around the new house and Sunday finish emptying the old house. I have a dumpster going in today so most of the crap will go into the dumpster including the carpet from my son's room.
