1lb Jimmy Dean sausage................makes me smile...........shouldn't that be under the thread "things that sound dirty but aren't"?
We do have bulk sausage here but not called that. We do have Jimmy Dean patties though

iled you could use patties, they break right up. But I am sure any brand of breakfast style sausage would work.

Here is a very loose recipe you can play with to make a Chicken Divan type of thing:
Mix cooked white rice and bar-boiled broccoli together. Put in the bottom of a baking dish you have sprayed with non-stick spray.
Top with bite sized cooked chicken (left overs or a cut up rotisserie chicken work great).
Mix a can (or two, depends on how much you are making) of condensed soup with 1/2 can white wine and 1/2 can milk (1-1 ratio, thin enough to pour, but still thick) The wine is optional, but the original recipe called for a homemade sherry sauce, this mimics that a bit but is much easier. I use cream of chicken soup but your favorite flavor would be good and impart another layer of flavor to the dish.
Top with swiss cheese. I have used shredded Gruyere and sliced regular swiss and both are fine. Save your money and use the cheap stuff.
Sprinkle with bread crumbs and a dusting of Parmesan. This step is optional, but makes a nice presentation.
Top with foil and cook until hot, remove foil for the last ten minutes to crisp the bread crumbs but not overly crunch them.
With the rice added this is a one dish meal. I use leftovers and it's great.

Schweaty Balls... Lol... That's one of the funniest SNL skits ever. Too bad SNL isn't funny anymore...
Oh, and I'm gonna have my mom make that... It sounds great!

I haven't actually tried this, nor would "Black Toast Intolerant" Andrea be trying this any time soon, but I thought of Jess and her creme bruleƩ fetish when my cousin sent me the recipe recently. Apparently he made it last night and it was delish; said it reminded him of a firm creme bruleƩ and it was really easy to make. He used blueberries and strawberries... (personally I would have gone for raspberries, but I guess his wife doesn't like them...) Anyhoo... here ye be: Blueberry ClafoutiRecipe courtesy Dave Lieberman 1 1/2 pints blueberries, washed and drained 4 eggs 1 cup sugar 1 cup milk 1 teaspoon vanilla extract 3/4 cup all-purpose flour Pinch fine salt Powdered sugar, for dusting Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Place blueberries in the bottom of a small rectangular glass pan (about 8 by 10 inches). In a medium bowl, crack eggs and whisk lightly. Add sugar and continue whisking until mixture thickens and is pale yellow. Add milk and vanilla; whisk to combine. Add flour and whisk to combine. Add a pinch of fine salt and whisk to incorporate. Pour mixture over berries. Bake on the center rack of the oven until the clafouti has puffed and the center bounces back when lightly pressed, about 45 minutes, rotating once. Remove from oven and let cool slightly before cutting. Slice into 8 equal pieces and gently remove from pan with a spatula or cake server. Dust with powdered sugar and serve immediately. There is also a picture of it on the Food Network website. Enjoy!!

This sounds great, but I too would substitute raspberries, as I hate blueberries! Might just have to try it. Maybe creme brulee and I will be done and I'll move on to this dessert

I think it is a smart move for a pirate to use cooking to snag a pirette. Good idea!
I agree with BNLater, we need details, details.
